Maude A. Babington and Heidi E. Weckwert are the Partners and Managers of Babington Consulting, LLC, in Boulder, Colorado. The company's area of specialization is the senior care marketplace. Babington Consulting, LLC offers marketing, educational, research and clinical consultation services to pharmaceutical manufacturers, managed care organizations, institutional pharmacies, pharmacy benefit management companies, and other medical education companies, as well as to skilled nursing and assisted living companies.

Prior to their forming the LLC, Dr. Babington served as the Vice President of Consulting for Pharmacy Corporation of America (now PharMerica), a long term care institutional pharmacy, from 1994 to 1998. Before her move to Boulder, she spent nine years in the Washington, DC area, first with the American Pharmaceutical Association and later with the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP). Prior to her association work, she was a Staff Fellow at the National Institutes of Health. She began her career as a member of the faculty at the University of Arkansas, College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Babington has been a frequent speaker at national pharmacy meetings and has served on numerous national committees and task forces in the long term care pharmacy arena. She received the prestigious Richard S. Berman Service Award from ASCP in 2002. Dr. Babington served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the ASCP Foundation from 2004 to 2006. She received her BS in Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina and her PharmD degree from the University of Tennessee.

While Dr. Babington provides clinical expertise, Ms. Weckwert performs legal, financial, communications, and program management functions for the company. Prior to joining forces with Dr. Babington in 1998, Ms. Weckwert practiced law in Washington, DC for eight years, initially with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and then as a civil litigator for the U.S. Department of Justice. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arizona.
